Schools in Somerset considering conversion to Academies. A full list of schools which have submitted 'expressions of interest' is available on the DfE webpages
To date 3 schools have advised us that they intend to proceed. These schools are:

  • Chard, Holyrood School
  • Cheddar, The Kings of Wessex School
  • Huish Episcopi Science College

Head Teacher at Heathfield Community School has threatened to resign if his school becomes an academy.
